Lisa Bongean is known worldwide for her primitive quilting style and calls Larsen, Wisconsin home, just outside Oshkosh. From there, she leads Primitive Gatherings, where she designs traditional and folk-art quilts, wool appliqué, and hand-stitching, along with creating hand-dyed wools, homespuns, and reproduction fabrics.
A designer, shop owner, award-winning quilter, and acclaimed teacher, Lisa runs Primitive Gatherings alongside her husband, Nick, while raising their three sons. She also designs fabric for Moda Fabrics, sharing her signature traditional style with quilters everywhere and supporting independent quilt shops through her work.
