While up at the Brimfield Antiques Show in Brimfield Massachusetts, Kim and Nisha happened upon a dealer with a Hefty trash bag full of stinky old textiles. Among those textiles were two orphaned quilt blocks from long ago that they couldn’t get out of their head! They went on to redesign the blocks for EPP and the rest is history.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Brimfield Block EPP by Brimfield Awakening finishes at various sizes. English Paper Piecing uses paper templates to temporarily hold more complicated shapes while the quilter hand stitches them together. The papers are then popped out before the EPP is appliquéd down to a background square and reused in a new project.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Brimfield Block has a large negative space within the block. This is the perfect place to showcase larger scale fabrics. Also beautifully interesting is the negative space that develops between the blocks when pieced together. Do you see the cross pattern that results?
