This exclusive 2-day Mystery Quilt Retreat features a brand-new pattern written by Deb Heatherly, designed specifically for our shop and built using her Creative Grids Hunter’s Star Trim Tool. You won’t find this quilt anywhere else!
Over two fun-filled days, you’ll receive five mystery clues that gradually reveal your stunning quilt design. Expect learning, laughter, prizes, and plenty of quilting joy as you stitch your way through an unforgettable retreat experience.
Bonus: This quilt can also be made into a Quilt of Valor.
What You’ll Learn
In this retreat, students will:
- Learn how to use the Creative Grids Hunter’s Star Trim Tool with confidence
- Improve accuracy with consistent ¼" seams
- Add sashing between blocks for a clean, polished quilt layout
- Build skills while enjoying the excitement of a mystery-style project
- Watch the quilt design reveal itself clue by clue
By the end of the retreat, you’ll have a strong start (or more!) on a beautiful Hunter’s Star quilt and the skills to make future star quilts easier and more accurate.

Her background includes garment construction, tailoring, heirloom sewing, machine embroidery, digitizing, and quilting. A Vilonia resident for over 35 years, Debbie is passionate about teaching in a fun, supportive environment and helping students understand not just the “how,” but the “why” behind great quilting. Outside the sewing room, she enjoys time with her husband, three grown children, and two grandchildren. |
