Kansas Troubles Quilters

Kansas Troubles Quilters

She began quilting more than 34 years ago after signing up for her first class at a local quilt shop. When she quickly finished a quilt sample for the shop, she also made her own version by simplifying the pattern, and that early creativity sparked a lifelong passion for designing quilts her own way.

After years of selling quilts and patterns locally, she attended International Quilt Market where a Block-of-the-Month quilt caught the attention of Moda Fabrics. She joined the Moda Designer team 24 years ago and has since created more than 75 fabric collections, all with the nature-inspired colors and prints that define Kansas Troubles. Today, she continues developing simplified ways to piece traditional quilt blocks through her Layered Patchwork technique and enjoys teaching quilters across the country.
