Linzee Kull McCray brings a wonderfully varied background to fabric design, with past roles ranging from bookstore clerk to botanical garden worker to childbirth educator. A lifelong curiosity led her into journalism, and after 13 years as a writer and editor at the University of Iowa, she shifted her focus to what she loves most: textiles, craft, and art.
After publishing her book Feed Sacks: The Colourful History of a Frugal Fabric, Linzee partnered with Moda Fabrics to create feed-sack inspired collections celebrating the prints, colorways, and resourcefulness behind these beloved textiles. She continues to share her passion for vintage fabric through her 30s Playtime line, along with writing, curating quilt exhibitions, and speaking to quilt and textile groups around the world.
