Samantha Walker has been creating for as long as she can remember, beginning with crayons and clay in kindergarten. She earned a BFA from BYU with a focus in design and illustration, originally dreaming of a career in children’s book and editorial art, but her creative path has taken a “scenic route” full of exciting detours.
Along the way, Samantha has run a custom decorating business, completed design work for the Department of Defense while living overseas in Japan, and made the surprising shift from paintbrush to computer. Much of her career has been in art licensing, with her work appearing on everything from paper crafts and stamps to fabric, ribbon, embroidery, home décor, wrapping paper, greeting cards, and more. Today, she’s exploring new creative directions and enjoying the return to hands-on supplies as she continues to follow what inspires her most.
