Description
National Sewing Machine Day is observed annually on June 13. It's a day dedicated to honoring the invention of the sewing machine and recognizing its profound impact on society, industry, and the art of sewing.
In 2026, it falls on a Saturday so join us in our shop for SPECIALS, DOOR PRIZES, REFRESHMENSTS and free demos all day by professional sewing machine repairman, Doug Yeager.
Doug will be on hand no only answer your questions but to also demo how to take care of and clean your machines to keep them in good working order and hopefully avoid costly repairs.
Did you know...?
The sewing machine revolutionized the way garments and textiles were produced, making sewing faster, more efficient, and accessible to a wider range of people. Before the invention of the sewing machine, sewing was a laborious and time-consuming process done entirely by hand. The introduction of the sewing machine in the 19th century transformed the textile industry, leading to mass production, improved quality, and lower costs.
On National Sewing Machine Day, sewing enthusiasts and craft lovers alike celebrate the history and evolution of the sewing machine. Please join us all day - 9 am to 5 pm- to celebrate.
