Riley Blake Designs was named as a tribute to both new and past generations, combining the name of Bret and Cindy’s daughter, Riley, with Bret’s father, Blake. That family-centered foundation still shapes everything they do today, bringing cheerful, playful fabric collections to makers around the world.

Bret Cloward grew up in the fabric business, learning the industry from his parents, who owned fabric stores in Utah for more than 30 years. After spending over 15 years building experience in other industries, Bret and his wife Cindyreturned to Utah to lead the family business. Cindy, a labor and delivery nurse with a lifelong love of sewing, helped spark the vision for fresh, colorful fabrics and partnered with local designers to bring it to life, debuting their first line, Just Dreamy, in 2009.
