Deb Strain

Deb Strain is a longtime fabric designer for Moda Fabrics, where she has been creating collections since 1996. Working primarily by hand through drawing and painting, Deb has designed more than one hundred fabric collections and is known for her love of intricate patterns and rich color.

Deb and her husband Scott live in Yellow Springs, Ohio, enjoying family life that includes traveling, long-distance calls, and plenty of time with their twin grandsons next door. Before becoming a designer, Deb taught art, and her work has appeared on products like calendars, greeting cards, books, and prints. She and Scott also created a line of notecards for sewing and quilting enthusiasts called Sew Noted.
