Want to learn to quilt but not sure where to start? Quilting 101 with Debbie Landers is a great place to begin.

In this beginner series, Debbie will guide students through basic quilting terms, tools, and techniques while making 9 beginner-friendly blocks. These blocks build a strong foundation for future quilting projects.

At Linda Marie's we want to make our classes accessible to everyone! You may pay for your class each week as you take each lesson or pay for the entire course all at one time.

If you cannot make a class, access to the lesson via a pre-recorded video is available to purchase at the same class fee rate. The video is accessible through a password protected site to you for 30 days after purchase.

Supply List

Please bring the following to class:

  • Sewing machine
  • Thread
  • Bobbins
  • Scissors
  • Pencil or fabric marking pen
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat
  • Personal iron
  • Wool ironing mat
  • 6 x 12 quilting ruler

Additional Information

Students should already know how to thread their machine, wind and insert a bobbin, and bring their owner’s manual to class.

Rulers will be introduced as the class progresses and may be purchased as needed.

All supplies are available in the shop if needed and don’t forget you receive 20% on additional class supplies.

Participants should bring a sack lunch. Coffee, tea and water as well as snacks are provided during our classes. We will take a break for lunch and there are nearby options for lunch.

We would love to hold a seat for you! This can be done in person or over the phone. Held reservations will be invoiced via email 37 days prior to the class date. Unpaid reservations will be released at 30 days. Our classes fill quickly so don’t delay in getting your paid confirmed registrations in as quickly as possible to ensure your seat.

Cancellations outside of 30 days from the class date will be fully refunded.

Cancellations within 30 days will be issued a store credit.

Cancellations within 7 days and no-shows do not qualify for store credit or refunds.

If WE have to cancel a class for any reason participants will be issued a full refund for the class fees.

Sales on patterns and kits associated with a class are final.
