Description
Rhapsody Block of the Month Sew Along is a 5 month skill-building program starting in October 2026. Designed by Anna Maria Parry for her 20th-anniversary fabric collection, it features vibrant patchwork and applique bouquets with free monthly YouTube tutorials to guide participants.
Join Vida Anderson in the classroom for a FREE Sew Along as she helps guide you through the process of using Anna Maria’s videos along with tips and tricks from Vida and Sharon for building your skills with applique’. Multiple methods will be used so you can find the method which works best for you.
Dates: October 7, November 4, December 3, January 6 and February 3
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM for instruction but participants are welcome to sew until 4 PM
Design & Techniques: Combines traditional piecing (9-patches, quarter-square/flying units) with flexible applique options for both hand and machine stitchers.
Kits Available: Kits include over 17 yards of the Rhapsody fabric collection, pattern booklets, and templates.
Suggested Tools and Materials:

Fabric scissors (large and small) and/or a rotary cutter and cutting mat

Clear rulers like a 6.5”x24” as well as a 12.5” square

Fabric marking pen or pencil

Fabric Glue Stick for applique’ placement

Pellon 805 fusible web or Maker paper for machine applique’ (optional)

Desired thread colors for machine applique’ (optional)

General sewing materials: machine, thread, hand sewing needle, iron, wool mat

All supplies are available in the shop if needed and don’t forget you receive 20% on additional class supplies.
Participants should bring a sack lunch. Coffee, tea and water as well as snacks are provided during our classes. We will take a break for lunch and there are nearby options for lunch.
