Description
This Scandinavian Snowflake may sound seasonal, but it is a fun project you can make your own just by changing up the fabrics. Go traditional or take it in a completely different direction. Either way, it is a great skill-building class.
Vida will guide you through the Quiltworx process while also introducing curved piecing, giving you a chance to grow your skills in a way that still feels manageable.

Instructor: Vida Anderson serves as the education coordinator here at The Quilt Shop at Linda Marie’s. She is a Quiltworx certified instructor, professional longarm quilter, and experienced educator. Her approach is steady and encouraging, helping quilters work through problems and keep moving forward

What You’ll Learn
- Learn foundation paper piecing using the Quiltworx method

Supply List:
Scandinavian Snowflake Pattern - a pattern is reserved for each participant
Fabric Requirements will be emailed to each participant. Four table topper/placemats will require assorted fabrics totaling 4 1/4 yards excluding binding and backing.
Please bring the following to class:
- Sewing machine in good working order
- Rotary cutter
- Personal cutting mat
- Add-A-Quarter ruler
- Fabric glue stick
- Repositionable glue stick
- 50 wt thread
- Snips
- Seam ripper
Recommended Tools:
- Acorn Pressing Pen and Solution
- Small portable iron and wool mat
- Tracing wheel
- Cutter Pillar light table
Vida will be demonstrating these recommended tools during class and you may purchase them at that time.
All supplies are available in the shop if needed and don’t forget you receive 20% on additional class supplies. Participants should bring a sack lunch. Coffee, tea and water as well as snacks are provided during our classes. We will take a break for lunch and there are nearby options for lunch.
