If you have ever thought about making your own quilted jacket, this is your chance to do it with guidance every step of the way.

The Tamarack Jacket is a true garment pattern, which means you are not locked into one look. You can adjust the length, add or skip a zipper, include pockets or keep it simple. It really can be made to fit your style.

Vida will help you think through your options ahead of time so you come into class ready to get started and make steady progress.

Instructor

Vida Anderson serves as the education coordinator here at The Quilt Shop at Linda Marie’s. She is a Quiltworx certified instructor, professional longarm quilter, and experienced educator. Her teaching style helps break down more advanced projects into manageable steps so you can enjoy the process and finish strong.

Supply List

Please bring the following to class:

  1. Sewing machine in good working order with regular sewing foot
  2. Sharp scissors for garment sewing
  3. Rotary cutter
  4. Personal cutting mat
  5. Thread for garment sewing
  6. Pins
  7. Yardage according to your size

All required and optional items are available for purchase at the shop

If you would like your fabric longarm quilted before class so you can cut from pre-quilted fabric, it must be completed ahead of time. The cutoff date is August 10. Pricing follows standard longarm quilting rates.

All supplies are available in the shop if needed and don’t forget you receive 20% on additional class supplies.

Participants should bring a sack lunch. Coffee, tea and water as well as snacks are provided during our classes. We will take a break for lunch and there are nearby options for lunch.

We would love to hold a seat for you! This can be done in person or over the phone. Held reservations will be invoiced via email 37 days prior to the class date. Unpaid reservations will be released at 30 days. Our classes fill quickly so don’t delay in getting your paid confirmed registrations in as quickly as possible to ensure your seat.

 

Cancellations outside of 30 days from the class date will be fully refunded.

Cancellations within 30 days will be issued a store credit.

Cancellations within 7 days and no-shows do not qualify for store credit or refunds.

If WE have to cancel a class for any reason participants will be issued a full refund for the class fees.

Sales on patterns and kits associated with a class are final.
